Rackarbergsgatan is a large student residential area close to all the Student nations and is situated about 1.5 km west of the city center. The housing area Rackarberget was built in 1965.

NOTE: The house owner, Uppsalahem, is planning construction work at Rackarbergsgatan. There may be some disturbances in the area due to this work.

About the Room

On Rackarbergsgatan we have 149 student rooms in corridors. The rooms are 13-15 square meters. Shower is shared with other tenants and each corridor kitchen is shared by 3-5 people. Cleaning of the common areas is the tenants’ responsibility. Some of our rooms at Rackarbergsgatan include private WC, while others share WC in the corridor.

Our  rooms at Rackarbergsgatan 12 share WC within the corridor and include private sink in the private bedrooms.

Rooms on 24-26 are corridors that have private WC and shared shower and kitchen by 5 students. The rooms on 22 are shared corridors between 3-5 tenants, some have private WC and some have shared. Both have shared shower room and kitchen.

The rooms are furnished with a bed and mattress (no pillow or quilt is included), a desk with chair and lamp, a small chest of drawers or book shelf, ceiling lamp, curtain rod and fixtures.

The rent for a corridor room on Rackarbergsgatan varies between 4100-5504 SEK/month depending on size and facilities (autumn semester 2023). The monthly rent includes electricity, water and heating. Internet is provided by an external supplier. There is no wifi, you connect via a net cable to the wall outlet.

You are expected to pay SEK 2500 deposit before arrival.
