Kantorsgatan is one of the larger student residential areas in Uppsala, situated about 2 km from the city center. Between the buildings are green areas with organized barbeque grills and beach volleyball courts. Kantorsgatan is within biking distance of most university campuses and is also close to nature.

IMPORTANT: The house owner, Rikshem, is currently doing construction work at Kantorsgatan. There may be some disturbances in the area due to this work.

Facilities in the rooms/corridor

We have three different types of rooms:

On Kantorsgatan 28-32 we have both triplets (where three tenants share two bathrooms and one kitchen) and miniature corridors (where two tenants share bathroom and kitchen).

On Kantorsgatan 34, 36, 46, 48 and 50 we have rooms in miniature corridors.

Rooms on Kantorsgatan 2-8, 12 and 20-26 are private studio apartments with private bathroom and complete kitchen. No facilities are shared with other tenants.

If you are interested in renting one of these private studio apartments please send a request by e-mail to info@housingoffice.se when you have completed your formal housing application to let us know your preference.

Internet access

Internet is provided by an external supplier. There is WiFi in rooms with shares facilities. The password is found underneath the router which is placed in the hallway (miniature corridors) or in one of the closets (triplets).

There is no wifi in the private one room apartments; you can only connect via a net cable to the wall socket. Network cable is not included.

Facilities in the area

Laundry room:
You will find a laundry room in the basement. You must book a laundry session in advance to do your laundry. You have 5 bookings/month.

Recycling facility:
The garbage and recycling stations are located at Kantorsgatan 14, 28 and 50.  Tenants at Kantorsgatan 2-8 can use their tag to enter the recycling station by Kantorsgatan 8.

Bike storage:
There is no storage room for bicycles in this accommodation area but there is bicycle parking right outside the front door of the buildings.
