Construction work at Klostergatan 16
Uppsala Akademiförvaltning has started the construction of a completely new cinema in the city center of Uppsala.
In addition to the new cinema, restaurants and other services are also planned in the neighborhood and the existing garage with about 300 parking lots will be renovated as well.
The new cinema opened late summer 2024!
Important information to tenants
The courtyard is closed since July 2021 and will open again during the fall of 2024. Fences will be set up around the courtyard, towards parts of Dragarbrunnsgatan. For your and others’ safety you are not allowed to enter areas which are blocked by fences.
They work weekdays from 7am to 8pm. Construction work will be performed between 7am to 6pm and noise and disturbances will be minimized as much as possible but will occur.

Information from the construction team
- There will be construction work ongoing all week-days, some level of noises will occur.
- The entrance at Dragarbrunnsgatan will be closed and can only be used as an emergency exit.
- Right now they are completing the courtyard. This work will be done during the fall 2024.
