Rackarbergsgatan is a large student residential area close to all the Student nations and is situated about 1.5 km west of the city center. The housing area Rackarberget was built in 1965.
NOTE: The house owner, Studentstaden, is planning construction work at Rackarbergsgatan. There may be some disturbances in the area due to this work.
About the Room
On Rackarbergsgatan we have 138 student rooms in corridors. The rooms are 12-24 square meters. Shower is shared with other tenants and each corridor kitchen is shared on 3-12 people. Cleaning of the common areas is the tenants’ responsibility. Some of our rooms at Rackarbergsgatan include private WC, while the other rooms share WC in the corridor:
Our rooms at Rackarbergsgatan 20 and 32 include private WC, while the rooms on 10, 12, 14, 32, 34, 36, 38, 44, 46, 48, 52 and 54 share WC within the corridor. Corridors with more than three tenants include private sink in the private bedrooms.

The rooms are furnished with a bed and mattress (no pillow or quilt is included), floor lamp, a desk with chair and lamp, pedestal of drawers or book cupboard, bookshelf, armchair, ceiling lamp, curtain rod and fixtures.
The monthly rent ranges from approx. 3800-4300 SEK/month (autumn 2019) and includes electricity, water and heating. Internet is provided by an external supplier. There is no wifi, you connect via a net cable to the wall outlet.

Garbage room: Separate garbage houses in the yard. Waste in Uppsala must be sorted in categories – glass, metal, newspaper, cardboard, plastics, organic or combustible waste.
