Klostergatan 16 is very centrally located – only a few minutes from the city center. This building was a hotel up until 2015 and was then converted into student living. This location offers some unique social areas on the ground floor for our tenants, including a large sitting room, a common kitchen, gym, laundry facilities and a café.
We have 233 student rooms in this building. Most rooms are about 23 square meters and all include private bathroom and kitchenette (with fridge, microwave oven and basic kitchen equipment). The kitchenette is only for heating and not for heavy cooking or frying. The common kitchen on the ground floor is fully equipped and cooking stations can be booked by all tenants. The concept is dependant on communal responsibility and all tenants are expected to clean up after themselves after using the common facilities.
IMPORTANT: The house owner, Uppsala Akademiförvaltning, is currently doing construction work at Dragarbrunnsgatan. There may be some disturbances in the area due to this work. For more information, go here: Construction work at Klostergatan.
About the room
The rooms are furnished with a bed and mattress, pillow and quilt, chair, a desk or table, closet, curtains and ceiling lamp.
These rooms can only be booked until June 11th.
You can find an interview with one of our tenants at Klostergatan here.
NOTE: Pictures of the rooms are examples, variations may occur.
Monthly rent ranges from approx. 5800-7040SEK/month (autumn 2022) and includes electricity, heating and water. Internet is also provided. There is no wifi in the rooms, you connect via a net cable to the wall outlet. Wifi is only available in the social areas on the ground floor. You are expected to pay SEK 2500 deposit before arrival. Due to the economic situation in Sweden today with raised expenses for house owners, tenants will most likely have to face higher than usual rent increases during 2023. We will inform all our tenants as soon as rents have been negotiated.
