Please note that arrival information valid from August 2017 will be published on this page shortly. Recommended arrival days for the autumn semester 2017 are: August 17-18 (between 9:00-19:00) and August 19 (between 9:00-15:00).
Exception: Accommodation area Klostergatan 16 is only available from August 18th 2017.

Sernanders väg/Flogsta Arrival Information – Please note that Heimstaden will move to a temporary office on Kungsgatan 47 between April-July 2017 and that you must collect and return your keys here during this period.
How to get to Uppsala
If you arrive by air to Arlanda Airport The airport bus, #801, from Arlanda Airport leaves every 30-60 minutes (bus fare approx. SEK 100). The ride takes 45 minutes and stops at Uppsala Railway Station (Uppsala centralstation in Swedish). You can also take the train from Arlanda Airport (Sky City) to Uppsala. The trip takes 18 minutes and costs around SEK 130. Going by taxi costs approx. SEK 500 (ask for fixed price) and takes about 30 minutes.
If you arrive by train to Stockholm Central Railway Station Trains from Stockholm Central Railway Station leave for Uppsala every 30 minutes (5:40am- 23:10pm). You can check train timetables and book tickets at www.sj.se. Tickets are also sold at the train station.
If you arrive by train to Uppsala Railway Station From Uppsala Railway Station you can take a taxi, or find out which bus to take to your relevant housing office. More bus info: see www.ul.se NOTE: Cash is not accepted on the bus, you can only pay with card. Bus tickets are also sold at the travel center at the railway station.
Pick up the keys
On your arrival in Uppsala you must go to either your landlord’s or house owners office to receive your keys. Please see the Arrival Information above for exact information regarding your address.
NOTE: You may have limited possibilities to collect your keys if you arrive outside of office hours or on week-ends. Check the Arrival infomration above for alternative ways to receive your keys.
Power of Attorney
If you don’t have the possibility to collect the keys yourself, you can give a Power of Attorney to a friend or colleague that can pick up the keys on your behalf. Download the template below, fill out the blanks, sign the document, scan it together with your ID or Passport, and make sure your trusted friend or colleague brings the document when collecting the keys. NOTE: It is absolutely vital that all information is included in the Power of attorney. A person arriving with a faulty or incomplete document will be denied.
Luggage and parcels
Please do not send luggage to your future address prior to your arrival, it will not be delivered and may also be sent back. The luggage can be sent to your new address only after you have arrived. No luggage, parcels or mail can be sent to the University Housing Office. If you plan to send any luggage before your arrival in Uppsala, please contact your department to ask if they can assist you.

Check list Before Arrival
Here is a list of the important things you need to do before arriving in Uppsala
- Choose your preferred housing (see under Accommodation)
- Apply for Housing
- Carefully read all information sent to you from Uppsala University Housing Office: Leasing Agreement, Arrival information, Housing guide
- Make sure you know where you are supposed to go on arrival in Uppsala. We recommend you to arrive during the Welcome Reception organized by Uppsala University and UUHO in the beginning of each semester.
- Visa/residence permit.
- Valid passport
- Course selection
- Pack a map of Uppsala
- Where will you collect your keys?
- Make contact with your Buddy (optional) – write down email and phone number.
